I’ve spent nearly two decades in the communications field. I built Kate & Steele to put that experience to work for businesses like yours.
After earning a degree in public relations with a minor in marketing, my career has spanned both corporate and nonprofit settings, where I held roles as Director of Communications and was responsible for everything from brand development and media relations to event planning, content creation, and crisis communications.
I’ve helped organizations build their presence from the ground up, navigate high-stakes moments, and show up consistently across every channel.
Now I bring this breadth of experience to every Kate & Steele client: a comprehensive, practiced understanding of how to make all the pieces of your communications work together to grow your business, finally giving you the relief of knowing your communications are in expert hands.
I built Kate & Steele because I recognized that many businesses lacked a trusted communications partner to ensure their story translated into impactful messaging and valuable connections.

So here’s mine:
Born and raised in a small community just outside Oklahoma City, my roots here run deep, and the values I grew up with have shaped everything about the way I show up for my clients and community.
I attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where I not only studied public relations but also had the privilege of being a two-time national champion and All-State cheerleader. The drive, discipline, and team-first mentality I learned from that experience are still very much with me today, and when you work with me, you’ll get to see that competitive team spirit come out.
My husband and I are blessed with two children, and my family is the heart behind everything I do, including the name Kate & Steele. Kate and Steele are their middle names, and together they represent exactly what this business is built on: the thoughtfulness and care to truly understand your business, and the strength and drive to get things done.
When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying a good book and a warm cup of coffee, traveling with my family, volunteering at church, or refilling my car’s snack supply for the kids. After all, I’ve earned the title of “queen snack lady,” and I wear it proudly.
